She is a runner up in Faber Academy's Quickfic writing competition with a flash fiction piece on surviving a zombie Christmas. Nafisa has recently been selected to be one of the 2015/16 cohort of Writing West Midlands 'Room 204' writer development programme. Her short story ‘How to conduct a Rishta Meeting’ has recently been read on Radio 4 and she is expected to appear in a BBC documentary on Midlands writers.

Daniela Azzopardi was born in Gozo, Malta but her love for travel, new acquaintances and different cultures led her to Birmingham, UK, where she gained an MA in Writing. She writes daily and also enters literary competitions, also recently becoming a runner up on a Faber Quickfic competition. To focus on research for her novel and her writing, she has worked in a variety of jobs, including as a Librarian and Research Analyst.
